| During the meeting, firefighters discussed the current state of the fire service, reviewed our apparatus and equipment, and talked about ways we can continue working together with our municipalities to better serve our communities. Open communication and cooperation between the department and local officials are extremely important as we continue to face the challenges of today’s fire service.
Our meeting was unexpectedly cut short when Station 17 was activated to assist at a structure fire in Roscoe. While the timing changed our plans, it also gave our elected officials a firsthand look at how quickly firefighters and emergency personnel respond when the call comes in. Within moments, members were gearing up and heading out the door to assist a neighboring community in need.
We would like to thank the council members from both boroughs for taking the time to meet with us and for their continued support of the Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department. |
