The Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department was organized for the sole purpose of extinguishing fires and protecting life and property of all who reside in the community, those of the surrounding communities, as well as the people that pass through the communities of the Mid Mon-Valley in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Injured person on the Mon River 7/21/2024

Jet Ski & Utility 17 just cleared an assist with Station 23 (California) for an injured person on the Monongahela River. The patient was on the Fayette County side of the river at a rope swing when the individual fell and possibly injured their head. Chief 17-1 was conducting routine operations on the river with the Jet Ski when the call came in, and went enroute to provide initial patient care. ... (Full Story & Photos)

MVA with entrapment 7/19/2024

At 14:25 hrs, Jet Ski 17 was requested to assist Station 33 (Charleroi) with a vehicle accident with entrapment that came to rest in the Monongahela River. Utility 17 arrived in Speers Borough with Jet Ski 17 and launched immediately, ensuring a rapid response to the vehicle from the water.

Search Detail in Monessen 7/9/2024
Stockdale Fire Dept, July 09
Today at 2:10am, station 17 was activated to assist City of Monessen Fire, Police, and The Pennsylvania State Police with a search detail. Utility 17 responded with Drone 17-1 on board. After arrival, crews were broken into groups and searched a wide range of wooded area in the city by utilizing a State Police Helicopter, UTVs, Thermal Drones, and Tracking Dogs.
